Azemichi no Dandy (あぜ道のダンディ) is an upcoming Japanese movie written and directed by Yuya Ishii. It will be released by Bitters End in Japan on June 18, 2011.

Ken Mitsuishi stars as a 50-year-old father named Junichi Miyata. He has been raising his two children, Toshiya (19) and Momoko (18) on his own since his wife died 15 years earlier. Although he makes a relatively meager living as a truck driver for a delivery company, he’s managed to provide for them and give them both a good upbringing.

It’s often a struggle, but Junichi pridefully feels it’s his duty as both a man and a father to keep up the facade of an easy, high-class life. However, one day both of his children simultaneously decide to go to university in Tokyo.
