Koji Yakusho (役所広司 / YAKUSHO Koji) is one of Japan’s top film actors. He was born January 1, 1956 in Isahaya, Nagasaki, Japan. He has been active in stage, television, and in movies since the early 1980s. He is a favorite of director Kiyoshi Kurosawa and has appeared in the majority of his films over the years.
