Oppai Volleyball (おっぱいバレー / Oppai Bare) is a 2009 Japanese movie directed by Eiichiro Hasumi about a young teacher (Haruka Ayase) who motivates her school’s hapless volleyball team by promising to show them her “oppai” (breasts). The screenplay was written by Yoshikazu Okada and was based on a 2006 novel by Munenori Mizuno. Toei and Warner Brothers released it in Japan on April 18, 2009.
Although the film is loosely based on a true story, the time period was changed from 1970 to 1979 so they could use pop songs from the era including Caocao’s cover of Finger 5’s 1973 song “Kojin Jugyo”, which was used as the main theme.
