Miyata (Yasuhi Nakamura) is an ordinary salaryman despondent over the loss of his girlfriend, Ayumi. When his private investigator friend asks him to go out with him on a Friday night he reluctantly agrees. They go out to a restaurant where Miyata meets a girl he really likes, but he has no idea he’ll be part of a complex series of events shown from the perspective of five different people whose lives become intertwined for that brief time.
