Trailer - Band of Ninja (Ninja Bugei-cho)

In 1967, director Nagisa Oshima made a film utilizing Sanpei Shirato’s drawings from the manga “Ninja Bugei-cho” (published from 1959-1962) about a young noble who joins a peasant rebellion to avenge his father’s death. Actors provided voiceovers and narration while camera pans gave the illusion of movement.
