Teaser - Doman Seman (Horikawa Nakatachiuri)

Here’s the trailer for an upcoming film directed by Go Shibata (NN-891102, Late Bloomer). It’s a called Doman Seman (Horikawa Nakatachiuri) and it will be premiering as part of the main competition at Tokyo FILMeX this November.

Synopsis: In modern-day Kyoto, a battle suddenly breaks out between a monster and a shikigami (summoned spirit). The monster is a manifestation of the world’s malice, and the shikigami has been sent to neutralize it. Soon, characterstics of another dimension begin bleeding through to Kyoto’s maze-like alleyways, transforming it into an otherworldly battlefield. Inspired by the works of David Lynch and Alejandro Jodorowsky, Shibata sets out to create his own “magic realism world”.
