Based on an Naocola Yamazaki’s award-winning 2004 novel, Don’t Laugh at My Romance tells the story of a 39-year-old art school teacher named Yuri (Hiromi Nagasaku) who has a sexual affair with her 19-year-old student Mirume (Kenichi Matsuyama). His friend/girlfriend En-chan (Yu Aoi) eventually figures out what’s going on and decides to confront the woman.

This was a surprisingly good movie, even if I didn’t have subtitles. LOL.
It’s more of a dramedy than a comedy or just a drama… and it resembles real life, as it’s not over the top and we don’t have one big revelation in the end.
I think En-chan is only Mirume’s friend, and she happens to have a crush on him, but he is so daft he doesn’t notice. Of course, I think Yu delivered the most light and funny moments in the film~ xD
I really love Kenichi Matsuyama when he is in the series of Death Note, but here…??? I don’t think so…
waaa…...
