A trailer link has been added to the official website for Tae-gyun Kim’s live-action adaptation of “Higanjima”. The film is based on a horror manga by Koji Matsumoto which was originally serialized in Young Magazine and later adapted to a PSP text adventure game in 2005.
Hideo Ishiguro stars a teenager named Akira who travels to creepy Higan Island to find his missing older brother (Dai Watanabe) with the help of several friends. Unfortunately, the island is inhabited by vampires and no one has ever escaped alive.
“Higanjima” premiered in Pusan on October 9th and will be released by Warner Bros. in Japan on January 9, 2010.
