Set in a laid-back art college, Honey & Clover tells the story of a group of students and their relationships with each other. When Takemoto (Sho Sakurai) meets the new shy, quirky oil painting student Hagu (Yu Aoi) he instantly falls in love, but is incapable of telling her his feelings. Instead he acts more like a big brother and spends the bulk of his time looking after her. The older, brasher 8th-year student Morita (Yusuke Iseya) isn’t quite as shy, however, and takes a more direct approach. Meanwhile, two of their friends are going through a love triangle of their own. Even with all these complications the group still manages to keep things in perspective.
