Soon after Shinkichi (Kikunosuke Onoe) was born his samurai father murdered a debt collector and a permanent curse was placed on his family. His father then murdered his mother and left Shinkichi to be raised by a family servant. Years later he meets an attractive older woman named Toyoshiga (Hitomi Kuroki), a teacher at a school for singers. What he doesn’t know is that she’s actually the daughter of the man her father killed, and his new relationship is only the continuance of the curse placed on him as a baby.
