Teaser - Kaiji

The first teaser is now out for the live-action adaptation of Nobuyuki Fukumoto’s popular gambling manga, “Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji”. Directed by Toya Sato (Gokusen: The Movie), Kaiji follows the exploits of a down-and-out gambler (Tetsuya Fujiwara) who’s in debt to a loan shark named Endo (originally a male character, but now played by Yuki Amami). Endo tracks Kaiji down and offers him the chance to clear his debt by boarding a gambling ship. Considering he’s always been a loser, Kaiji’s chances for success seem slim at first, but his gambling skills seem to increase dramatically whenever his survival is at stake. Teruyuki Kagawa (Tokyo Sonata, 20th Century Boys) also stars.
