Yoichi Sai‘s live-action adaptation of Sanpei Shirato’s manga series, The Legend of Kamui. A fugitive ninja (Kenichi Matsuyama) must face relentless attacks by powerful warriors from his oppressive former clan. Because of the need to focus so intently on survival, Kamui can’t bring himself to fully trust anyone he meets and is thus relegated to the life of a lone traveler. Slated for release in Japan on September 19, 2009.
