Second Trailer - Katen no Shiro

Here’s the second full trailer for Mitsutoshi Tanaka’s Katen no Shiro, an upcoming period drama based on a 2004 novel by Kenichi Yamamoto about the construction of Azuchi Castle on the shores of Lake Biwa under the orders of the powerful daimyo Oda Nobunaga (played by Kippei Shiina). Azuchi is widely considered to be the greatest castle in the history of Japan. Unlike previous castles, it was built with lavishness and beauty in mind—not just utilitarian needs and defensive capabilities. Toshiyuki Nishida stars as a genius carpenter and Shinobu Otake plays his wife. Saki Fukuda also stars as their daughter in her first ever role in a samurai-era drama.
