Trailer - Your Friend (Kimi no Tomodachi)

Trailer for Ryuichi Hiroki’s 2008 film Your Friend.

Based on a novel by Kiyoshi Shigematsu, the film tells the story of a lifelong friendship between two girls. Emi (Anna Ishibashi) has a degenerative kidney disease and Yuka (Ayu Kitaura) has a limp from a car accident which was partly caused by Emi. Although Yuka initially holds a grudge, the two eventually grow closer due to their mutual understanding of what it’s like to be impaired. The two of them experience many trials over the years, but through it all they remain friends.
