In Yuji Nakae’s upcoming adaptation of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer’s Night Dream”, Yuki Shibamoto stars as a Tokyo office worker named Yuriko who decides to give up big city life and return home to Yokatomi Island in Okinawa to avoid her unfaithful boyfriend, Atsushi (Soko Wada). After meeting with the village chief (Mitsuru Tamaki), it’s discovered that Atsushi has followed her to the island. Soon Atsushi’s lover Rinka (Yuko Nakamura) arrives, and matters get confused even further when an island spirit called Majiru (Honami Kurashita, Mieko from Nakae’s Hotel Hibiscus) begins spreading an extremely powerful love potion throughout the island.
Office Shirous, Cinequanon, and Panari Honpo will be collaborating on a theatrical release beginning at Sakurazaka Theatre Naha on July 18th and Cinequanon Yurakucho 2-chome on July 25th.
