A top-secret US stealth bomber codenamed “Midnight Eagle” crashes in the Northern Alps of Japan before an extended blizzard. Its payload is a “specialized warhead” capable of melting the ice caps and causing vast damage to Tokyo through flooding and the deadly wave of radiation that would follow. Yuji Nishizaki (Takao Osawa), an ex-war photographer who long-ago decided to stick to nature photography after witnessing too much tragedy, happens to be in the area when it crashes. And when his friend drags him back to the mountains to get the scoop they run into an army of foreign agents that seek to set the weapon off themselves.
