Chronic underachiever Yosuke (Hayato Ichihara) has been having a tough time coming to grips with the death of his friend and rival Noto (Haruma Miura) a year ago. Noto was a brash daredevil and never let fear get in the way of doing what he wanted—a trait that eventually led to a fatal motorcycle accident. With Noto gone, Yosuke feels as though he missed his chance to prove himself or accomplish anything noteworthy. This changes when he meets Eri (Megumi Seki), a beautiful high school girl who just happens to do battle with a seemingly indestructable chainsaw-wielding maniac every night. Yosuke decides that he’ll surpass anything Noto has ever done if he helps Eri with these battles, and even though Eri doesn’t necessarily need his help physically, she comes to rely on him for emotional support.
