The official website for Genjiro Arato‘s film adaptation of Osamu Dazai‘s novel No Longer Human has been updated with a new 2+ minute trailer.

A quasi-autobiography, the novel was Dazai’s final literary work before committing suicide on June 13, 1948. This film was made to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth. Toma Ikuta stars as the self-destructive, Dazai-based main character who can’t seem to veer off his despair-ridden path in life. According to Tokyograph, Satomi Ishihara will play the woman he married, though he had several other women in his life (as you can probably tell from the clip).

“No Longer Human” will be domestically released by Kadokawa Pictures on February 20, 2010.

Thanks to logboy for the heads up.

How about now? I went back to an older version of the player. Loads a bit smoother. If it still doesn’t work I’d try reinstalling Flash Player.
