A new trailer has been added to the official website for the upcoming Nodame Cantabile, and unlike the previous trailer, this one makes it clear it’s for the first film (Zenpen) due out in December.
Plot: After winning the Platini International Music Competition, Chiaki (Hiroshi Tamaki) is appointed the permanent conductor of the Roux-Marlet Orchestra. He decides to do some covert scouting before taking over and he’s shocked by their lack of motivation. On the other hand, Nodame, Frank (Eiji Wentz), Tanya (Becky) and Kuroki (Seiji Fukushi) practice hard every day at the Paris Conservatoire in preparation for final exams. Because of this, Chiaki calls on Nodame (Juri Ueno) to stand in for some performances. As Nodame’s delusions begin to spread, Rui Son takes over an important role at the Conservatoire through an unexpected coincidence.
As the next performance of the under-prepared Roux-Marlet Orchestra approaches, a terrible fate awaits Chiaki…
“Nodame Cantabile The Movie I” will be released by Toho on December 19, 2009. Part 2 will be released on April 17, 2010.
Thanks to logboy for spotting the new trailer.
