Here’s the trailer for Noboru Iguchi‘s RoboGeisha. I can’t find a plot summary anywhere yet, but the trailer is pretty self-explanatory. If you’ve seen Sukeban Boy, The Machine Girl, or—God forbid—Hypertrophy Genitals Girl, you pretty much know what to expect from Iguchi by now.
No release date yet, but it will be out in Japan later this year courtesy of Kadokawa Pictures.

That’s hilarious. I wasn’t impressed by MACHINE GIRL and so skipped on TOKYO GORE POLICE, but this looks like it has more budget and a lot more humour and imagination. Count me in!

I’m not sure about Cat-Eyed Boy. Art Port distributed that one so I’m sure some US buyers and festival programmers got screeners. Maybe they just didn’t like it.

Art Port is very hard to get in contact with. Even when they have all of their titles available with english subs on screener you are nearly impossible to get in touch with…

I hope that movie will be short… a non-stop gore/action/stupidity movie with Iguchi handling the camera could be difficult to digest O_o
Cat’s Eyed Boy is maybe my favourite Iguchi’s work…technically a bad movie of course, but as fun as a kinky manga

intense! i’m not the biggest fan of the genre but this is one exciting trailer!!
would you happen to know why Cat-eyed Boy was so downplayed and hard to find (Eng-friendly)? obviously it’s never going to get licensed for R1, but it seems so tucked under the rug even in Japan.
