Here’s the new trailer for the theatrically-released finale to the 2008 TBS baseball drama, “Rookies”. The film is titled Rookies: Graduation and brings back the original cast along with new recruits played by Takuya Ishida and Yusuke Yamamoto. A teaser trailer was posted simultaneously, and you can watch it at this link.

The original drama follows the exploits of a rookie teacher at Nikotamagawa High School, Koichi Kawato (Ryuta Sato) as he becomes the new manager of the school’s baseball team and brings together a team full of delinquents with an eye toward making it to the mecca of high school baseball: Koshien Stadium. The team members themselves begin to take this goal more seriously as the series progresses, but face many obstacles along the way. In the film they must overcome injuries to compete in a tournament with Koshien finally within reach.
