The official websiter Kentaro Otani’s Runway Beat has been updated with a 90-second trailer.
The film is an adaptation of a mobile phone novel by Maha Harada which was accessed a record 7 million times. D-Boys acting troupe member Koji Seto stars as Biito “Beat” Mizorogi, a transfer student with a “genius” fashion sense who teams up with several of his new classmates to plan a fashion show for their annual school festival.
According to Tokyograph, Nanami Sakuraba co-stars as a girl named Mei, Mirei Kiritani plays a model named Mikitty, Kei Tanaka plays a computer otaku, and IMALU plays Mei’s friend Anna.
Shochiku will be releasing “Runway Beat” in Japan sometime in March 2011.
