When a papersmith named Eiji is accused of a crime and sentenced to imprisonment on Ishikawa Island. His childhood friend Sabu, trusting his friend is innocent, continues to stick up for Eiji at the risk of public scorn and ridicule, which eventually drives him to seek revenge against the men he thinks are responsible for the frame job.
