The first preview trailer for Tetsu Maeda’s Saru Lock: The Movie has been posted on the film’s official website.This was originally broadcast at the end of the final episode of the NTV drama on October 15.
Saru Lock is based on a Naoki Serizawa manga and stars Japan’s go-to hyperactive dumbass Hayato Ichihara as a gravure magazine-obsessed teenager named Sarumaru who works at his father’s locksmithing business and routinely uses his lock-picking skills on a series of adventures.
As Tokyograph reported yesterday, the movie will bring back the cast from the drama while adding Manami Higa as a deceitful woman named Mayumi, Manami Konishi as a police officer, Ken Mitsuishi as a gang leader, and both Masahiko Nishimura and Jun Kunimura as members of the National Police Agency.
“Saru Lock: The Movie” will be released in Japan on February 27, 2010.
