A trailer has been added to the new official website for the upcoming movie version of The Ancient Dogoo Girl. Noboru Iguchi, who created the original 12-episode TV series for MBS last year, is the director and once again teamed up with makeup effects artist Yoshihiro Nishimura on the project.
Like the TV series, the movie stars buxom gravure idol Erika Yazawa stars as an ancient clay bikini-clad god who was awoken after a 10,000 year sleep to fight evil in modern society (and monsters).
“The Ancient Dogoo Girl” will get a limited release at Cinemart Shinjuku from February 20-26, 2010.
