When a young hotel manager named Bingo (Satoshi Tsumabuki) is caught having an affair with the local mob boss’s wife (Toshiyuki Nishida), he saves himself by claiming to be close personal friends with a notorious hitman, Della Togashi. The only problem is he’s never met the man in his life. On the bright side, Togashi is so good at his job few know what he looks like. Bingo uses this to advantage and hatches a plan to hire an actor to play the ruthless hitman.
To insure nobody recognizes the imposter, he hires a no-name actor named Murata (Koichi Sato) who’s spent his career as a stunt double. Bingo tells Murata they’re going to shoot a new film “gorilla style”, using hidden cameras and improvisation. Unfortunately for them both, the idea of finally starring in a movie goes to Murata’s head, and he begins hamming it up at the worst possible moments.
