Full trailer for Makoto Tanaka’s 2008 comedy, “Sing, Salmon, Sing!”
Billed as the next big feel-good comedy in the vein of Water Boys, Swing Girls, and Hula Girls, Sing, Salmon, Sing! tells the story of Kasumi (Kaho), a normally self confident girl who sings lead soprano for her high school’s choral department. One day the exceedingly cool class chairman (Hideo Ishiguro) asks to photograph her during a performance, but the moment he snaps the photo she’s making a face that resembles a spawning salmon. Completely mortified, she decides to quit the choir, but eventually she runs into a gang of choral thugs from River High and their leader (Gori) teaches her the importance of musical soul.
