One day, small-town resident Kirie (Eriko Hatsune) discovers her boyfriend’s father videotaping a snail for some reason. His bizarre obsession with spiral objects seems to increase exponentially over the next few days, leading up to his eventual suicide inside a spinning washing machine. After that, other residents seem equally transfixed by spirals, some even mutating into spirals themselves.
